lunch2

Poor Shinichiro…He has all the girls after him, and Hunkalicious Number 4 still wants him to ask out Noe. He was about to try, but chickened out when she showed up. When he turned her down for lunch, and she went to eat with Hiromi was hilarious. I loved it when Hiromi’s friend came over and was like WTF. The way Hiromi acted was great.

sweaterAi-chan was wearing the sweater that Shinichiro picked when they went shopping. I feel bad for Miyokichi. He has no idea. The episode ended with her getting Shinichiro to help her size the sweater she is making for Miyokichi (she is totally going to make one for Shinichiro too) and made him not answer the door for Miyokichi.ocopus_weiners1

Noe made Shinchiro octopus wieners and went to watch him dance. I loved it when she found that he danced at the beginning of the episode. Herlick1 reaction was cute. Then she licked him while they were eating.

Hunkalicious Number 4 came to Shinichiro’s house and told him to ask Noe out again. He said he would if Number 4 would go out with Hiromi and he said yes, so we’ll see how that turns out. Hiromi wasn’t happy about it when he told her though, cause apparently she wanted Shinichiro in her room for other reasons. ;o

ayuOkay, so this episode started out with Zero handing out the assignments. Of course, Karen is the head of his honor guard, but I loved her reaction. She was like, “sweet!” C.C. looked pretty bored, though, twisting her hair like that. :D

Next, Suzaku was knighted and I thought that his outfit was cool, but a little piratey. suzakuAnd the clapping thing was giving me Harry Potter flashbacks. I couldn’t help but think of that scene at the end of the second movie where everyone stands around clapping for Hagrid, and you’re sitting there watching it, thinking, “WTF?”

I really don’t like Diethard. He’s a creep and his hair freaks me out. I also didn’t like his suggestion to assassinate Suzaku, although Toudou stamped on that one fast. Go Toudou!roundtable1 I also liked it when Zero told Diethard to keep out of his business, too, but Diethard’s little “I love you Zero! Let me record your every move” speech only added to his general creepiness. Watch out, Zero, Shirley’s not the only one who stares at your picture at night……….

After all of that, things got really good. I’m hoping that Euphie is going to kick some Vicereine ass! That would be awesome! It’s probably not going to happen though…..

I’m ready to know if Suzaku is going to discover that Karen’s a part of the resistance, and more importantly, if he is going to find out Zero’s true identity any time soon. And C.C. told Lelouch to use the Geass on him but……didn’t Lelouch already use the Geass on Suzaku to save Nanally? That would mean that he can’t influence him again, right?

I always think it’s funny when Lelouch gets into a dangerous situation. He’s usually so aloof and condescending, but when there’s a gun pointing at him, he loses that calm facade pretty quick, doesn’t he?lelouch's eye

ayuFirst of all, I am reallly starting to like the background music in this show. I usually don’t even notice the background stuff until the second time I watch something, but the musical pieces in this always seem to grab my attention.

At the beginning of this episode, of course, there was some of Lelouch thinking over Suzaku killing his father, and all the pain he must have kept inside of himself for so long. During all of that, he looks so serious, and then he’s posing for an art class?! :D lelouchposingI almost fell out of my chair. It was so hilarious. I mean, of course they would want Lelouch to pose for something like that. It would make the class so toudoumuch more enjoyable if your model looked like that. Am I right? Or just obsessed?

I thought that Toudou looked rather cool in his strait jacket, despite his eyebrows.

I am ready for the vicereine to die already! Please! She was way too excited about having Toudou shot and then she obviously chose Suzaku on purpose to force him into proving his loyalty again. Hasn’t he proven himself enough?! Give the guy a break! suzakuhorrified

Next, we have the subject of Euphie, who is in dire need of a spine or some balls or something. Her inane mumblings at the reporters’ questions was just grating. If she hadn’t stood up for Suzaku and declared him her knight at the end, I would have written her off as a pitiful character forever. But, she did redeem herself in the end, so good. I still like her, even if her sister is the devil.

So, Suzaku didn’t have to kill Toudou after all, because, not surprisingly, Zero came to get Toudou before he had the chance. I loved his whole miracle/dream speech. That was great. Also, we now know that Toudou was Suzaku’s shishou, but the two of them have agreed to disagree, therefore making them enemies.

Oh! Has Shirley found a piece of her old diary?! That would be awesome! I’m ready for her to remember Lelouch already! And I also found it interesting that she apparently couldn’t seem to draw Lelouch’s face in the art class. Hmmmmm…..an effect of the Geass or a subconscious memory??

I think that Rakshad being involved in medical cybernetics isn’t coincidence. It will probably be useful in the future.

Last, but not least, Lelouch finally knows who’s in the Lancelot! And it’s going to drive him crazy! Did everyone else notice C.C.’s depressed look asmao she watched him laugh like a lunatic? She’s obviously having Mao flashbacks. Of course, Lelouch was intending to make Suzaku Nanally’s protector and now it’s not going to work, so he’s teed off. I just hope he doesn’t lose his mind entirely.

Character of the Month ~January~

durand

For the month of January, we have picked Durand, from Le Chevalier d’Eon, a show loosely based on real citizens of France in the years before the Revolution, involving supernatural elements and cross-dressing for the sake of espionage.

Durand, a friend of the protagonist, d’Eon, wields both a rapier and parrying knife, which he uses with deadly accuracy. As a character, he starts off as not particularly exciting, but by the end of the show, there are several scenes revolving around him that will remain engraved in memory forever as some of the best moments in all animes.

He is a character both relatable and mysterious, and we absolutely love him.

Durand is voiced by seiyu Tsutomu (Ken) Narita, whose voice you may recognize as Jeremiah Gottwald’s from Code Geass.

Booyah! Cool Guy finally showed up!

Poor Lavie. She has to go with Clause whether she likes it or not. This episode was about them mostly getting prepared for theirlavie_lastexile1 journey to take Al to the Silvana. Lavie did not want to go, because she doesn’t want to die. Clause has an complex about doing the right thing and taking Al. Actually though, I am on Clause’s side right now, because they were entrusted with the mission, so they can’t very well forget about it.

Especially since those big white machine things are constantly after them.

al_pedobear_lastexileThe whole stuffed goat scene was admittedly pretty cute. Though I’m pretty sure that whoever designed Al’s character was making her for all the pedobears out there.

I must say, the last fight scene was pretty intense. Very well made. They sure did get beat up too. Lucky for them, Cool Guy Alex Rowe showed up and saved their butts.

I’m so excited to see more of him! ^-^!

ayuAlright, this time I think he’s actually dead. mao3

That was some pretty awesome maneuvering on Lelouch’s part. Once again, I am reminded of Death Note’s Light and his convoluted schemes.

I felt bad about C.C. having to shoot Mao, especially after she told him that she loved him and to wait for her in the next life, but she really had no other choice than to kill him. He was losing his mind. I also feel sorry for Suzaku. He has so much guilt caged up inside suzakuhim, whereas his best friend Lelouch has very little. I thought that the flashback scene where they were surrounded by the bodies was very revealing about their personalities. Lelouch was so easily able to ignore the dead, but Suzaku was paralyzed with horror and remorse, even for people who I’m presuming were strangers to him.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love this show, but Suzaku’s little running stuntsuzakurunning was completely ridiculous. I think I was supposed to be impressed, but it just made me laugh. It was too silly.

So…..Suzaku killed his daddy, and now he wants to die as penance? I’m not surprised. After C.C. messed with his mind, I guessed that that was what they were implying. Personally, I think that it was naive of him if he actually did kill him to try to stop the resistance, but I don’t think that makes him a bad person. I only hope Lelouch can quench some of his guilt with a dose of his ice-cold logic. Mao really hit Suzaku hard when he said that his self-righteousness was justviletta1 thinly-veiled masturbation. ouch.

Lastly, I still want to know if Viletta is faking it, or if she really is innocently cooking for Ougi.

Oh! I forgot! The club chairman might get engaged to Lloyd?!?!?! That would be weird…….

Darker than Black ep. 7

darker_than_black

I was honestly a little afraid of this episode. In the preview, the pink haired chick was talking, and she sounded like she was going to be scary. Turned out though, I adore her character. I think she’sdarker-than-black though, hilarious. And the detective guy was too. Before it got funny the guy who possesses people makes this guy who apparently did him wrong in the past fall off of a building to his doom. Yey for exciting openings!!! LOL

drool_heiHei looked awesome as always in this episode. And Pink Haired Chick agrees with me. The first time you see him, he’s chowing on like fifty bowls of ramen behind the two detectives. Then he walks out of the restaurant and the girl starts admiring how cool he is. It was amazing in every way. She even wiped away drool.

I thought this episode was great, I can’t wait for the next one. ^-^!

ayuWell, this was different. A cheerful/funny episode of Darker than Black?!lc12

I’m in love with the detectives, especially the man. He’s hilarious! and the ear-cleaning was genius! Creepy, but genius.detectivesIt looks like the next episode will be back to the usual dark and diabolical flavor that we have grown so accustomed to. I’m not complaining. I love Heiskeletal-hand suspense as much as the next girl.

I think that we can probably expect an epic fight scene between Hei and the new villain. Possession is a powerful weapon, and I’m wondering how Hei will cope, but most likely, he’ll pwn the guy’s ass in short order and all will be well with the world.

Hakushaku to Yosei ~Final Thoughts~

ayuAlright, we’re throwing in the towel. This show sucked. In the end, we skipped most of the episodes to see what the end was.

It was weird. Paul was creepy, Edgar was still a lecher/Tamaki-lookalike, Lydia was still an idiot and the only reasons to watch were to listen to Light’s sexy voice coming from the bad guy and to watch Raven execute his ninja moves. tamakivsedgarOverall, I’m disappointed. After the first episode, it seemed to have so much potential, but it failed to deliver. There was no suspense involved in the LydiaXEdgar relationship because of the spoiler shot in the end credits, and from the beginning Raven was my favorite, but he had no chance. I just couldn’t deal with Edgar’s arrogant cad act and Lydia’s innocent/naïve act. It was lame. That’s all I have to say about this show.

*deletes all episodes from desktop and stalks away in search of better fare*stamp of disaproval

Yeah, so, Hakushaku to Yosei….Bleeeehhh. I’m sad because it didn’t work out, but also happy that I don’t have to deal with it any more. haha. I always love it when an anime pulls out some major surprise, makes you gasp. This one, you knew from the beggining, that the show wasn’t going to do any surprises. Not a one. They were poised for surprises like, Raven’s sister is…ALIVE!?!?!….Edgar gets the….GIRL!?!?! But everyone guessed those from the beginning. Partly, because Edgar and Lydia were naked together in the ending. But they didn’t even give us that much fun. Lydia stayed her usual boring:

hakushaku-to-yousei-op-large-03

Until the very end…

Also, they made the fatal mistake of making the side character cooler than the main character. We’ve fussed about this before, but it really made it harder to watch. In the first evspisode, Edgar’s winking and sparkling was funny, by the time we stopped though, it was irritating, and no matter what he said, he still seemed to be so fakey with Lydia.

Also, the animation was shoddy. They looked funny a lot. That’s too bad too, because the character design’s themselves were nice, they just weren’t consistent.

Overall, I say BOOOO to this show. It may be other people’s cup of tea, maybe if you like blonds and sparkles and ash mauve eyes, but I personally was not a fan.

ayuShe’s faking it! I just know she’s faking it! There’s no way it’sviletta actually amnesia.

Okay, okay….. maybe it’s amnesia. This is an anime after all. :D
Whether she’s faking it or not though, I think there’s definitely potential for a VilettaXOugi relationship. That would be fun.vilettaougi

I was totally surprised when they actually showed her naked torso boobshot2completely,but I thought that in this particular situation and in this show, it was appropriate and realistic. It didn’t feel fan-servicy, thank goodness.

<<<<(Yes, those creepy faces are from Zetsubou Sensei)

I felt really sorry for Mao overall, although he went pretty crazy in the end. I still think that C.C. really did love him, but I’m thinking it was probably more motherly than anything else, whichfunny wasn’t really what Mao wanted. I wonder how old she really is……I mean, I figured that she was probably much older than she looks, but if she was old enough to raise Mao since he was six years old, she’s no spring chicken.

Personally, I doubt that Mao is dead, though. It’s possible, but C.C. was shot a bunch of times at the very beginning of the show, and she lived, so I think it’s possible that he’s still alive.mao21

Also, I thought the library scene was especially good. I thought it really got across why Mao would have gone insane from his Geass. Of course, Lelouch used Mao’s disadvantage beautifully, as I knew he would. It was a chess match well-played. I loved the whole part where Lelouch was saying, “C.C. is mine. I have conquered all of her, even parts of her you have never seen.” Whoooo…….suggestive, Lelouch. You bad, bad boy.

Hmmm….what else? Oh! Was I the only one who felt a little bit of heart pain when Shirley showed up and talked to Lelouch? When he told the club president that she would probably “pretend” not to know him for “a long time, probably”, it was so depressing.

Lastly, the end was intriguing. I liked that whole slow-touch-of-fingers-before-the-handshake that Lelouch and C.C. did. Will they get together? I can’t decide if that’s what I want, though. I’m still trying to decide if I like C.C., Karen, or Shirley better. I’m also not going to rule out Suzaku. heeheecaress

slept

This episode doesn’t open where the last one left off. Instead, breathing it’s right after, when they’re walking home together…In silence… Then Shinichiro is sleeping on the wall near the beach and Ai wakes him up, taking about three years off his life in the process -_-

hands2Ai is totally in love with him though. They went shopping together, and she bought the sweater that Shinichiro picked behind his back. And she is so awkward with Miyokichi. The hand holding scene was adorable though!

momThe scary mom said more mean things to Hiromi and Noe tackled Shinichiro to the ground and fussed at him. haha. We found what happened to Noe’s tears this episode. There this a long scene with her, her brother, and their Grandma. Her Grandma told her not to cry because she would take Noe’s tears up to Heaven with her.

grandma

Shinichiro finally got Noe to stop leaving him chicken feed all over the placeface
by getting her to try some. She made this hilarious face cause it was so nasty.

And in the end of the episode, hunkalicious number 4 shows up and tells Shinichiro to go out with Noe. :o
